Upcoming course: Safe and effective prescribing for you and your team

Improve your knowledge and skills with our course on Safe Prescribing. Including sessions on the 'START assessment', 'demystifying prescribing for neonates' and 'common prescribing mistakes'. 

This one-day course explores safe prescribing within paediatrics. You will learn about the most frequent prescribing mistakes and their management, as well as, review basic pharmacology.

Co-designing solutions for medication safety with families

Following our December event, where we discussed key challenges families face in medication safety in home and hospital care environments and possible solutions, some of the event participants have now formed a group looking at how to develop the solution ideas further, with support from RCPCH.

 

To this end, we are gathering information about existing medication or healthcare passports in use (one of the suggestions for a new resource) as well as any other resources currently employed by healthcare professionals to support families in managing medications.
